Admission for Fall 2025 Now Open
Mason LIFE Fall 2025 Application**
When you click on the link, you will need to create an account in Dynamic Forms to login and access the application. After creating an account, you will be able to log on and off as many times as you want, while you work, by “Saving progress” until you are ready to submit the completed application. Please note that only complete applications, with all required documentation, will be considered for admission.

The $70 application fee may be paid by credit/debit card using the payment link at the end of the online application. If you would prefer to submit a check or money order, please contact Stephanie Atkins at satkins5@gmu.edu for instructions.
Certain applicants, such as those who are eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch, may qualify for an application fee waiver. Please note that a fee waiver requires you to submit appropriate documentation.

Fall 2025 Admission Timeline
The Fall 2025 application is now posted.
There is not an official application deadline; however, the admission panel will be meeting on Friday, January 10th to review applications received by this point and to select candidates for interviews. Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they have been received.
Selected candidates will be notified for on-campus interviews by the evening of January 10th. On-campus interviews will be for the student and family/support member and will consist of spending the day meeting current students, support staff, and the core admin team.
*Applications received after January 10th will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
On-campus Interviews will be held Monday, January 27th – Wednesday, January 29th. Admission decisions and notifications will be sent out via email on Friday, January 31st.
You will also be asked to indicate your preference of on-campus living. On-campus living is optional, limited, and not guaranteed with acceptance into the program. Many factors are considered when determining campus housing including, but not limited to: diversity (i.e disability, race, ethnicity, gender, rank in program etc.), student’s distance from campus, and an assessment of independent living readiness which will be conducted during the on-campus interview.
If accepted for Fall 2025 admission, you must confirm your acceptance in the program by emailing your commitment and submitting a non-refundable enrollment fee of $250.00 within one week of your acceptance. Should you not respond within the week, your admission into Mason LIFE will be canceled.
Required new student and family orientation will take place in June 2025.

- In State: $21,537/year, $10,768.50/semester
- Out-of-State: $29,458/year, $14,729/semester
- Housing On-Campus Program Fees:
- Room Fee: $14,010 per year
- Support Fees: $12,587 per year
- Total Housing Costs: $26,597 per year
Documentation:
- Psychological Evaluation or Educational Evaluation: Report must include – IQ, Academic and Achievement testing, as well as Executive Functioning and information/testing regarding behavioral and adaptive assessment, and social/emotional functioning
- Related Services Assessments if applicable (Speech, PT, OT, Assistive Technology, etc.)
- Most recent Individualized Education Plan (IEP)—please include all pages
- Two recommendations from a non-relative - one should be from a teacher and one from a related service provider or employer.
